Synopsis by Daniel Gelb
While still grieving the death of his beloved wife in a car accident, Sherwin (David Oyelowo) travels to Maine in order to finally meet his abrasive, estranged mother-in-law Lucinda (Dianne Wiest), who is terminally ill. The pair attempt to connect and mend their broken hearts in this heartfelt drama, which co-stars Hani Furstenberg. Written and directed by Maris Curran, Five Nights in Maine made its world premiere at the 2015 Toronto International Film Festival.
