synopsis
In this comedy, director Blake Edwards attempts to emulate the Laurel and Hardy tradition of slapstick. Spence Holden (Ted Danson) accidentally finds out that two gangsters, Turnip (Richard Mulligan) and Binky (Stuart Margolin), have fixed a horse race on the orders of their boss Tony Pazzo (Paul Sorvino). Turnip and Binky realize that Spence knows too much and go after him and his buddy Dennis (Howie Mandel) with a vengeance. Spence doesn't help matters when he romances Tony Pazzo's wife (Maria Conchita Alonso), or unwittingly buys an antique piano that Pazzo has been looking for.
