Synopsis by Ryan Shriver

Director Douglas Underdahl makes his feature film debut with his 2003 comedy drama Film School Confidential. Examining the trials and tribulations endured by film students while earning their degrees, he follows five students at different levels in their course work over the course of a year. Senior Sara (Stephanie Paul) decides to move back onto campus for her final year and ends up rooming with freshman English major Marta (Christi Kelsey). Meanwhile, senior film students Greg (Stephen Heskett) and Mark (Ethan Aronoff) find themselves rooming with sophomore transfer student Sal (Chuck Worthington). The seniors in both situations are all too familiar with the ins and outs of the film school, especially how vicious and degrading their fellow students can be in the very competitive program. As all five students set about to work on their film projects for the year, each must come to terms with the consequences of their intense emotional investments in their work. Film School Confidential was selected by the 2003 Rotterdam International Film Festival as well as the same year's Bermuda International Film Festival.
