Synopsis by Janiss Garza
Larry Cavendish (Harry Morey) is a wealthy young political reformer. During his bachelor party, he receives a note from his fiancee, Caryl Rundlege (Betty Blythe), saying she is going away. He desperately tries to find her, but he gets no help from her father, a former governor, or from the police. Larry figures some mysterious forces are at work here, and his search takes him through the underworld. Finally, during a fight with blackmailer Dan Levarro (George Majeroni), Larry sees Caryl just as she is killed by a stray bullet. Devastated, he carries her dead body to an opium den just as it's being raided. Among those participating in the raid is Caryl -- the girl who was killed was a twin sister Caryl didn't even know she had until the night of the bachelor party. The sister was part of the underworld, and her father insisted that she keep the matter quiet. Caryl and Larry are reunited, and he uses the information he's gleaned through his adventures to smash the corrupt political machine. This gripping mystery story was adapted from "Jungle Heart," a story by Stanley Shaw which appeared in "Blue Book" magazine.
