In this series of comic short subjects, Fiddlestixx is a monkey who has "special brain powers" that causes human to react in a number of bizarre ways. In the first three installments of the Fiddlestixx series, a pair of scientists are awestruck by the capabilities of the monkey's mind and try to find a way to persuade the creature to work in their favor. In the second, Fiddlestixx is in court on unspecified charges, though the humans overseeing the trial appear to be significantly less intelligent than the defendant. And finally, Fiddlestixx is the love interest in a costume drama that finds two foppish gentlemen fighting for the monkey's affections. Directed by David Zellner and Nathan Zellner, the Fiddlestixx shorts were originally created for the website Atom.com; they were also screened in competition at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival.
