Eldad (Shlomo Bar-Abba) is a schoolteacher scheduled to fly to New York from Tel Aviv in this comedy and social satire. When he reaches the airport, he leaves his luggage on the floor and takes a taxi to a cheap downtown hotel. His luggage is recovered by airport security who goes to interview Eldad's wife (Ofra Weingarten) and kids. Irith Sheleg plays the reception clerk who dreams of meeting a man who will whisk her off to America. Eldad passes himself off as a uneducated, impoverished Arab to hide his identity. Yossi Sayava plays the inspector who looks into Eldad's disappearance.
