This two-reel comedy represents the only collaboration between producer Mack Sennett and Broadway funnyman Eddie Foy Sr., of Seven Little Foys fame. The star plays a carefree vagabond, who, on impulse, marries small-town widow Polly Moran. Foy is less than delighted when he discovers that his new bride has seven children, forcing him to take several jobs to keep food on the table. The seven kids were, of course, played by Foy's own children, including comedians-in-the-making Eddie Foy Jr. and Charley Foy, and future B-picture producer Bryan Foy. There would have been more Foy comedies from the Sennett fun factory had not the temperamental star made a variety of impossible demands -- including a 1,200-dollar payment for work that Foy had never completed.
