Popular light leading man Johnnie Walker stars in this modest silent comedy from modest producer Robertson-Cole (the future RKO). He plays Thaddeus Plummer, whose job is to bore holes in furniture to make it look antique. Nicknamed "The Worm," Thaddeus gets the occasion to buy an oriental "wishing rug," which his employer (J. Farrell MacDonald) dismisses as worthless. But after a couple of mishaps, the rug does indeed prove lucky for Thaddeus, who sells it for $1,000, a sum that enables him to buy the antique store. Pert blonde comedienne Mildred June plays Thaddeus' loyal girlfriend.
