Synopsis by Sandra Brennan

The wife of noted Italian director Michelangelo Antonioni, Enrica, made this chronicle of the making of her aged husband's 1995 film Beyond the Clouds, which pays tribute to his artistry. When he made the film Antonioni was in his 80s and had suffered a stroke that left him mute. Still, using gestures, and glances he was able to inspire his cast and crew towards the perfection of his vision. Clouds was made with the assistance of fellow auteur Wim Wenders. The interplay between the two great directors provides one of the key points of interest.
