Based on a popular radio comedy, this movie chronicles the exploits of a family so exasperated by the everyday deceptions they encounter, from merchants, advertisers and government, that they have decided to strike back by swindling their swindlers. They have renamed themselves the "Goldcabbage Family." Ironically, every time they manage to swindle someone, the esteem in which they are held increases dramatically.
