A couple of prospectors care of an infant boy, the only survivor of an Indian massacre. Wanted for murder, one of the prospectors manages to save the life of the detective pursuing him. He is later cleared of any wrongdoing by the detective, and a clergyman (top-billed Noah Beery in a benign role for a change) arrives in the nick of time to prevent the authorities from confiscating the boy. By a coincidence common to bad filmmaking, the infant is actually the grandson of one of the prospectors. Directed by Horace B. Carpenter (who also plays one of the prospectors), this obscure low-budget Western clearly plagiarizes Peter B. Kyne's famous allegory The Three Godfathers, which was filmed three times -- in 1916, 1919 (as Marked Men), and 1948.
