Synopsis by Robert Firsching

Uratsokidoji is not a real word. Like much in this grotesque shot-on-video horror film and its sequels, the title was meant to suggest a live-action version of the successful hardcore animé series Urotsukidoji (note spelling). As in that film, hideous tentacled demons have their way with naked women, and there is a particular emphasis on spurting bodily fluids and rape. Of course, watching such things in a cartoon and seeing them in a live-action film change the tone tremendously, and the reduction of the plot from a cosmic battle for humanity to a standard occult horror story doesn't help matters. In this first episode, sometimes subtitled "White Uniform Hell," a rape-monster attacks nurses until the hospital summons the cigar-smoking "Exorsister," Maria Cruel (manga artist Ban Ippongi), who -- clad in a Stetson and black cape, and armed with a razored crucifix -- saves the day. Kahoru Katagiri and Waki Taniguchi co-star. Uratsukidoji: Daiinshin Fukkatsu-hen followed later the same year.
