In this tragedy, an opera diva is forbidden by her manager to fall in love. The prima donna obeys him and abandons her true love. Later, in the last scene, the old diva, her voice finally spent by years of singing, discovers that her younger sister is going to take her place. The woman goes back to her dressing room, puts on her old phonograph records and dies of a broken heart.
