Synopsis by Clarke Fountain
This documentary, a follow-up of a decade-old earlier film, examines the lives of a number of unemployed "dropouts." The 1968 film was titled They Call Us Mods. The same individuals, or rather, those who survived, are followed in A Decent Life. Most of them have become hardened drug addicts, and one dies during the course of the filming. The film's subjects are uninhibited and unabashed in front of the camera.
