Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Pierre Felix (Warren Oland), a couturier, makes a $25,000 bet with Ralph Courtland (Mahlon Hamilton) that he can take a girl from the streets, dress her appropriately, and within three months have her accepted into society. The woman Felix chooses is Bianca (Madame Olga Petrova), an organ grinder's assistant, and when he introduces her as a Russian countess, she becomes quite popular in society. As a matter of fact, Courtland falls in love with her. The only problem is the appearance of Grand Duke Serdian (Arthur Hoops), who Bianca goes out of her way to avoid. In a run of bad luck, Courtland loses his fortune, loses the bet, and discovers that the woman he loves is an impostor. But when he goes to Bianca to castigate her, she reveals that she is actually the daughter of the King of Montenaro, and ran away because she wanted to avoid marriage with Grand Duke Serdian. This means, among other things, that it is actually Felix who has lost the bet. So for revenge, Felix tries to kidnap Bianca and bring her to the Grand Duke. But Courtland, who has one of those new-fangled (for 1916) aeroplanes, flies over to the ship where Bianca is being held, rescues her and they quickly marry, thus permanently keeping the Grand Duke out of their way.
