Synopsis by Eleanor Mannikka
In a good-natured look at the down-home farmer with a big day and night off in the bustling metropolis of Hamburg, first-time director Detlev Buck has a tongue-in-cheek amusing story of cultural clashes -- or at least, bumps. When a young farmer (also played by Buck) finishes up his chores, he lets his family matriarch know he is leaving for awhile for Hamburg, siphons off gas from the tractor into the Mercedes, and takes off. He happens to end up in an upscale bar in one of the more exclusive city sectors, and when he and a young sophisticate hit it off, his comments on city life should keep most viewers chuckling.
