Synopsis by Josh Ralske
Laura (Paola Krum) tells the near-suicidal Renzo (Julio Chávez) that she's staying in town. "If you don't want me to die, don't ever say you're leaving," Renzo tells her. Jiménez (Luis Luque), grateful that Renzo rescued Marina (Cecilia Roth), returns his gun and badge back. Marina is in the hospital, dreaming of her horrifying ordeal with Bruno (Antonio Birabent), and the things she did while she was his captive. Renzo realizes that because Bruno wasn't able to take anything with him when he fled, he'll have to turn to his father for help. Bruno is already at his father's mortuary, trying to persuade Morel (Jorge Suárez), a longtime employee there, to get money out of the safe for him. The cops show up, but Bruno cleverly eludes them, and gets his money. The police find another epitaph, this one unfinished, and Laura determines that the next victim will be the medical examiner who did the autopsies after the deadly incident. The cops go to protect Morini (Carlos Portaluppi), only to discover that a second M.E., Paz (Carlos Weber) was the one who autopsied Bruno's beloved Alejandro. They're too late to warn Paz. Marina awakens, and tells Renzo that the body in Bruno's hideout was her mother.
