Synopsis by Janiss Garza
Ruth Bennett (Myrtle Gonzales) is the daughter of lumber magnate Elihu Bennett (George Hernandez). She goes to work incognito as a stenographer for his superintendent Ferdinand Stocker (Fred Church) and unearths a lot of unscrupulous goings-on. She also meets Jerry Simpson (Val Paul), the handsome son of a lumberman who aspires to the bar. By the end of the movie, Stocker gets his due, while Ruth and Jerry find romance together. Some comedy touches involve the trials of a sheriff (Jack Connelly) who is frantically trying to get home to his pregnant wife, and a scene with Jerry in the forest, learning how to give speeches with the tree stumps taking the place of jurors.
