Synopsis by Kimber Myers
The whole nation was witness to the birth of a star when Elvis Presley made his groundbreaking appearances on The Ed Sullivan Show in the late 1950s. This collection presents all three of the King's starmaking performances: the 9/9/56 episode that marked his debut; the 10/28/56 episode that featured such timeless classics as "Hound Dog," "Love Me Tender," and "Don't Be Cruel;" and the infamous 1/6/57 episode that required the hip-swivelling Elvis to be filmed above the waist.
