Pioneering environmental photographer Eliot Porter is the subject of this engaging documentary portrait. Eliot Porter's World is a privileged peek into the life and aesthetic development of a greatly admired artist. The film traces his development from early childhood experiences in Maine to his relationship with renowned photographers Alfred Steiglitz and Ansel Adams to his controversial switch to color photography, and finally to his recent trips to China and Antarctica.
