synopsis
A fictionalized retelling of a real-life 1998 scandal in Uruguay, The Vineyard examines the efforts of Joaquin (Danilo Rodriguez), a hard-boiled journalist, to investigate the disappearance of a lower-class boy from the grounds of a sketchy German-Chilean wine tycoon's estate. Difficulties arise for Joaquin in the form of pressure from his boss, resentment from his neglected girlfriend, and a police cover-up of the events that really took place on the estate.
