This government-funded documentary is based on the book by American journalist J.Turner in which he chronicled the events leading up to the Mexican Revolution of 1910. The authors wife is interviewed and stock footage is used to explain the conditions of the Indians, worker unrest, and political upheaval that preceded the revolution. Young filmmakers were given the opportunity to hone their skills in this state-funded project that gives an accurate historical perspective to the events in Mexico at the time.
