El Hazard: The Alternative World picks up right where El Hazard: The Magnificent World 2 leaves off, beginning with the long-awaited wedding of Miz and Fujiwasa. Things, as usual, don't go as planned, however, when Makoto and our usual cast of characters are transported to another world, yet again. This time, a creature named Arjah, who claims to be the ruler of the universe, sends them to the totalitarian world of Creteria. What follows are cases of mistaken identity and even "alternative" versions of our heroes' old nemeses, the giant insect people called the Bugrom.
