An aspiring filmmaker from Mumbai falls for a beautiful girl from a family of orthodox Malayali Christians in this tender tale of star crossed lovers. A 22-year-old man named Sachin hails from a middle-class background, and dreams of one day becoming a great filmmaker. Sachin is beginning to feel as if his big break will never come when he crosses paths with the stunning Jessie, and realizes he's found the woman of his dreams. But according to Jessie's faith, even watching movies is strictly forbidden. At first, Jessie strikes up a friendship with Sachin in hopes that it will be enough to make them both happy. But now with each moment they spend together, Sachin only grows more convinced that his love for Jessie is real, and that somehow they can find a way to make romance work.
