Synopsis by Sandra Brennan
This arty and highly stylized anthology from distinguished German filmmaker Jutta Bruckner is comprised of seven diverse character studies incorporating feminist issues. None of the vignettes offers a traditional story and characters include a bride, and a pregnant woman seeking an illegal abortion. Utilizing dancers, specialized lighting, and haunting, symbolic imagery, the film has the feeling of a surreal play.
