Synopsis
Three-part chronicle of the Egyptian New Kingdom (c. 1560-1080 BC), 'the first empire in recorded history,' says narrator Keith David. Among its pharaohs: its founder Ahmose; Hatshepsut, the first female monarch in recorded history; the empire builder Thutmosis III; the monotheist Ahkenaten; his ill-fated son Tutankhamen; and Ramesses II, Egypt's 'last great pharaoh.'
