This documentary explores the efforts of the E-Team (short for the Emergencies Team), a task force sent by Human Rights Watch into war torn countries and totalitarian states to investigate crimes against humanity and violations of human rights. The team collects evidence and documents disturbing offenses from genocide to systematic uses of rape and torture, presenting challenges of politics, forensics, and human frailty.
