Synopsis by Janiss Garza

Virile mid-1910s star William Russell both starred in and directed this drama. John Huntley-Knox (Russell) owns a prominent Boston newspaper and, with the help of reform candidate William Wendall (Harry Keenan), intends to oust a gang of corrupt politicians from office. While the two are preparing for a tough fight, Janet Dare (Charlotte Burton) arrives from Wyoming. She's the daughter of an old friend of John's dead father. The elder Huntley-Knox had a dark secret -- it was rumored that he killed a man out West during his frontier days. The corrupt politicos threaten to reveal this and bring disgrace to the Huntley-Knox family, but among the things Janet has brought from Wyoming is an old letter from a Mexican confessing to the crime. Janet is kidnapped by the politicians and John comes to her rescue. Wendall wins the election and John wins Janet.
