Synopsis by Hal Erickson

Given a lengthy trial run on the CBC potpourri series Dress Rehearsal, the children's program Drop-In joined the network's regular weekly manifest in the fall of 1970. Aimed at the ten- to 14-year-old demographic, the series was hosted by Rex Hagon and Susan Conway, who'd previously costarred on the long-running Canadian adventure show The Forest Rangers. The program served up a bewitching blend of puppet shows, skits, musical numbers, interviews, and "theme" shows. During 1972 and 1973, the series expanded its vistas to include segments filmed on location in various far-flung areas of Canada, and also in Europe. Drop-In was last seen in the summer of 1974.
