Synopsis by Mark Deming

The strange world of the guys who bring that large sausage and mushroom to your door finally makes it to the screen in this off-the-wall comedy. Bob's is a popular pizzeria in Rochester, NY that, like most pizza places, will deliver a pie to your home. Sheldon (David Sirk) is the number one driver for Bob's, an eight-year veteran in a job most folks rarely hold for more than a few months. As Sheldon explains his Zen-like philosophy of pizza delivery, he tries to keep his eyes on his other drivers, including Mang (Amaury Batista), who is extremely proud of his restored El Camino; Friendly (Brian Osborne), who doesn't get along well with customers; Rupert (Dave Spiecher), who seems to attract angry dogs; and Tyler (T. Lee Beideck), who isn't going away without a tip. To see how the other side lives, we also pay a visit to (Peter Nachow) (Two Sari), a Chinese-food delivery guy with a serious attitude problem. Drivers Wanted was the first feature from independent director and screenwriter T. Lee Beideck, who also plays Tyler.
