Synopsis by Janiss Garza

This one-reel Vim comedy was a very loose burlesque on Miguel de Cervantes' novel Don Quixote. Plump (Oliver Hardy) and Runt (Billy Ruge) are fishing, but they aren't having any success and fall asleep. They dream that they've found a bottle containing a message from a maiden in distress (Ray Godfrey). The guys head off to save the maiden, accompanied by their steeds, which are actually a scrawny mule and an even scrawnier goat. Along the way, Plump and Runt find adventure, more from their ineptitude than anything else -- they happen on a pirate hideout after becoming lost in a forest. After escaping from the pirates, they eventually find the maiden in a haunted house and rescue her from being forced into marriage. While trying to decide which one of them wins the maiden's hand, they are woken up by a tug of the fishing line and come back to reality.
