Synopsis by Perry Seibert
Kim Longinotto's documentary Dreamcatcher explores the social conditions that lead thousands of women and girls into prostitution or sexual enslavement. The film focuses on the story of Breezy, a former call girl who managed to stay afloat in that harsh world for decades before a life-threatening incident landed her in the hospital and triggered a change in the direction of her life. She now devotes herself to getting people out of this dangerous lifestyle. Dreamcatcher screened at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival.
