Thrown for a loop after a series of confounding confectionary chain hold-ups, Sgt. Friday (Jack Webb) and Officer Gannon (Harry Morgan) begin to feel pressure from above to crack the case. Though a suspect is picked up following a robbery, the victim's inability to pick him out of a police lineup proves even more perplexing to the increasingly frustrated lawmen. It's soon revealed that multiple suspects have been robbing the candy stores using the same gun, which had been placed in a central location.
