Cracking the case of a bank robber who forces women to assist him at gunpoint proves harder than usual when dwindling leads and a unexpected sidetrack momentarily stalls Sgt. Friday (Jack Webb) and Officer Gannon (Harry Morgan). Though an eyewitness identifies one of the women's cars after the robber leaves it abandoned on the street, the driver proves to be an out-of-state parolee and lies about her involvement. Frustrated, the lawmen get a lucky break when one of the robbers' chosen victims proves to be a karate expert. After skillfully disarming the bandit, Friday and Gannon move in for the arrest.
