Synopsis by Nathan Southern
The time is the summer of 1984; the place, Schmalensted, Holsteinische Schweiz, Germany, along the golden shores of the Baltic Sea. 17-year-old Malte Ahrens (Cecil Vonrenner), known by the pseudonym "Roddy Dangerblood," comes of age under the tutelage of his uber-leftwing parents in a Holstein farmhouse. Life seemingly couldn't improve at all for Roddy; he's caught up in the throes of a wonderful ceramics apprenticeship and a nascent love of punk rock. Via a combination of basic elements, including romance, friendship and booze, Roddy decides to begin searching for the perfect music.
