A woman tries to communicate with her son who's at war in this short drama from filmmaker Asitha Ameresekere. Annie (Jeanette Rourke) is a middle-aged British woman whose 19-year-old son is a soldier recently deployed to Iraq. To keep her son posted on life at home, Annie has bought a video camera and periodically sends him messages about how things are going, with contributions from her husband and daughter. But as time goes on, Annie's video letters have less to do with reporting events on the home front than reminding her son how much she loves him, and sharing her anxieties about his possible fate. Do Not Erase was honored as the best short film of 2007 at the 2007 British Academy of Film and Television Awards.
