In the distant future, interstellar travel happens via portals called "inflation gates." These transports can take you from one end of the galaxy to another, but in between, they go through a parallel dimension. Malicious creatures from this dimension called Ghouls are now trying to invade earth through these portals and the only ones who can stop them are the Seraphim. This team of women has a brand new, 18-year-old recruit named Misaki who has a nasty encounter with a Ghoul almost immediately after she starts with the team. Divergence Eve has earned the nickname "Boobs in Space" for its disproportionate leading ladies.
