Kei is on a passenger plane high over the Jural mountains when an unmarked jet fighter appears and opens fire, killing most of the passengers in a matter of seconds. As the battered plane is about to go into a dive, a dying woman asks Kei to take care of her baby. Moments after the inevitable crash, Kei finds that she and her young charge are the only survivors. Waiting for Kei at the airport, Yuri impatiently stalks the waiting area, never noticing that the television is broadcasting a report about the murdered billionaire Senator Rip. His widow has been indicted for the murder, and an investigation is underway to find Rip's missing son, born to his mistress -- the same child that Kei now cradles in the snowy mountains. But unbeknownst to Kei, her troubles aren't over; the people who shot down the plane are on her trail, looking to finish the job they started. (American release in 1998.)
