Synopsis by Dan Pavlides

Jacques Presser recalls the Dutch social elite's collaboration with Adolph Hitler in World War II and the extermination of over 100,000 Dutch Jews. He recalls chronologically the events that transpired that were first published in his controversial book from 1955. Presser documents how he bourgeois willfully turned their heads and allowed the victims to die in prison camps with little concern and no protests. Most of the victims were from Amsterdam.
