Dick Turpin (Matheson Lang) is a fabled British highway robber (1706-1739) in this historic drama. Ferret Bevis is a braggart who boasts that no man can rob him, but Dick proves him wrong and also steals the heart of Ferret's beautiful daughter. When the father sets up a marriage between the girl and Luke Sommers, Dick rescues the girl from entering into an unwanted marriage.
