Famous Films studio produces and P. Pullaiah directs this labyrinthine melodrama. Sridevi is a hooker with a heart of gold who is charged with the care of the orphaned lass Radha. Though she has managed to orchestrate a marriage for the waif to the upper-class Mohan, the arrangements are dashed when the villainous Ananda Rao -- who secretly lusts of Radha -- informs Mohan's father of Sridevi's true vocation. Later Mohan marries the pure-hearted, progressive-minded Uma, though the couple's nuptial bliss is short lived -- Ananda Rao frames Mohan for murder. Eventually, Uma brings together Mohan and Radha and then selflessly leaves the scene.
