Synopsis by Janiss Garza
When the Marquis Henry de Montfort (Pietro Buzzi) creates a system for beating the roulette wheel, de Guise (Bertram Grassby) wants to be let in on the secret. He doesn't want to pay the high price the Marquis has put on his knowledge, however, so he murders him. The Marquis' daughter Blanche (Gladys Brockwell) faints and de Guise kidnaps the unconscious girl. On the way to Paris, he is stopped by an Apache (not an American Indian, but a member of the French underworld) called "the Stag" (William Scott). He knocks de Guise unconscious,. then steals his car -- and the girl. Blanche wakes up inside a gambling hall, but she can't remember what has happened. She does remember her father's system, however, and proceeds to make herself and the Stag very rich. Once again she encounters de Guise and stabs him. She is arrested, but when a physician examines her, he insists that she needs an operation to clear her mind. Afterwards she returns home and in the woods she runs into de Guise, who has recovered from his wound. He forces her to accompany him to his estate, but the Stag comes to her rescue and they are reunited.
