Synopsis by Jason Buchanan

A group of 13 men from diverse backgrounds travel to the Sahara desert for 15 days in a bid to rethink their roles in society and contemplate their male identity in director François Kohler's richly textured exploration of modern masculinity. Though on the surface this unlikely collection of men may appear to have little in common, what connects them all spiritually is a deep-rooted need to achieve a better understanding of their male identities. From their roles as fathers and husbands to their thoughts on such subjects as aggressiveness and power, every subject is open to discussion. The result is an introspective journey into the very heart of masculinity that aims to be as illuminating to male viewers as it is for curious females.
