synopsis
Also known as The Purim Player, The Jester, and The Jewish Jester, this is a Yiddish love story in which a wandering vaudevillian on the road seeking happiness meets and falls in love with a shoemaker's daughter. Classic romance being not quite enough to hold a tale together, however, it is obvious that this little musical fable needs something more. Guess whose family was planning on marrying her off into a prominent family and are less than pleased with the match she has chosen for herself?
