Synopsis by Robert Firsching

Former Italian cinematographer Pasquale Fanetti (working as Emanuelle Glisenti) directs this modern giallo thriller, which draws more from the American erotic thriller subgenre than the native form. Vassili Karamesinis (Giallo a Venezia) stars as Paolo Henkel, the cheating husband of hotel owner Claudia Ferrari (Gabriella Barbuti). Paolo wants to have Claudia killed so he can be with his mistress Valeria (Sara Cosmi). When his wife is attacked, Paolo hires a killer, Joe Dupont (Jimmy Ghione), to act as her bodyguard until an opportunity arises to do away with her. Anyone who has seen A Perfect Murder or its numerous imitations can guess what happens next: Joe falls for Claudia and tells her about the plan, Claudia convinces Joe to kill Paolo, Joe does, then runs away and Claudia marries another man (Ronald Russo). That's when things get interesting, as Joe decides he can't bear to leave Claudia behind and returns to claim her as his own. Much of the story line is subverted by a pair of interminable stripteases and some softcore grinding, but the film still manages to blend its giallo and erotic thriller elements in a more satisfying (and far shorter) manner than the contemporaneous Fotogrammi Mortali. Maurice Poli co-stars with Marco Seri and Emanuela Drudi.
