synopsis
It's no treat to be a filmmaker in Brazil. Once your film is complete, you're at the mercy of the military dictatorship's censor squad. Director Jose Mojica Marins, auteur of the "Coffin Joe" series, has been a conspicuous victim of the slice-and-dice squad. Fortunately, Marins has managed to save most of the scenes that have been forcibly ripped from his various features. Those scenes, as well as highlights from other "unsuitable" Brazilian films, have been gathered together in Hallucinations of a Deranged Mind.
