synopsis
Sassy Scottish lassie Heather Gordon (Janet Gaynor) is onboard an America-bound ship with her uncle and hopes that a new and happier life awaits them both. While the ship chugs steadily across the sea, she befriends Sascha (Raul Roulien), a handsome Russian who is travelling with a band. Sascha is utterly smitten by Heather who in turn has fallen for the dashing Jerry Beaumont (Charles Farrell), who is engaged to the pretty but already a tad shrewish Diana (Virginia Cherrill). Complications ensue when Jerry discovers that he is really in love with Heather. The Gershwin brothers Ira and George penned the songs for his ho-hum romantic musical.
