Synopsis by Josh Ralske

Residents of Deadwood prepare for William's (Josh Eriksson) funeral. A number of maltreated Chinese whores have died, and Lee (Philip Moon) calmly goes about burning their corpses in the street, enraging Wu (Keone Young), who turns to Al (Ian McShane) for help. Al feels the timing isn't right to back Wu against Hearst's man. He tells Johnny (Sean Bridgers) and Dan (W. Earl Brown) that they'll have to keep Wu "on ice" to prevent a war until Al is in a better position with Hearst. At Al's request, Seth (Timothy Olyphant) takes a moment out from his mourning to tell Jarry (Stephen Tobolowsky) that Al speaks for him in regard to his (fictional) dealings with Montana. Al keeps Jarry at arm's length, making Jarry suspect that Montana has sweetened their annexation offer. Cy (Powers Boothe) is less than thrilled to meet the "new" Andy (Zach Grenier), who is presiding over William's funeral. Seth asks Martha (Anna Gunn) not to make a hasty decision to leave the camp. Trixie (Paula Malcomson) explains to Sol (John Hawkes) why she turned to Al in her moment of need. Alma (Molly Parker) finally gives her answer to Ellsworth (Jim Beaver). Wolcott (Garret Dillahunt) receives word that George Hearst himself will be visiting the camp.
