Klement (Georg Lokkeberg) is a journalist on the downward slide of a once promising and successful career. He has taken to drinking as he struggles to come up with original stories that could turn his professional situation around. Meeting an old bum, Klement finds the man to be intelligent, articulate and very aware of social concerns. Klement is introduced to a variety of social outcasts through the man and believes he has the big story that will endear him to his superiors and his loyal readers.
