Two centuries after he is wrongly accused of sorcery and hanged from the gallows, Colonial physician Benjamin Latham (Kevin Kindlin) returns from the grave with an unquenchable thirst for blood and a desperate hunger for answers in director John Russo's frightfully original shocker. When his burial site on unconsecrated ground is accidentally disturbed, the supernaturally driven vampire awakens and enlists the aid of photographer Lenora Clayton (Moon Zappa) in tracking down his contemporary descendents. Feeding his inhuman hunger by feasting on the blood of drifters and street people, Benjamin is troubled to learn that a copycat killer has put the city of Pittsburgh on alert, and detective Ron Vargo (Tom Savini) is determined to bring the killing spree to a stop no matter what the cost.
